Abby N. Wooldridge is a pediatric speech-language pathologist, wife, and mom of two incredible kids and one amazing dog who uses buttons to communicate. She’s in the process of becoming a certified decluttering coach and can often be found watching organization videos for fun.
Abby loves books with her whole heart and has had a life-long dream of being an author. The library is one of her favorite places and is most definitely where she would seek shelter in the event of a zombie apocalypse. In the summer, she enjoys sitting by the window to read, write, and wait for hummingbirds to come say hello. In every season, she loves to snuggle up with blankets, book-themed candles, and coffee while she reads and writes away the day.
Abby is an active member of SCBWI and 12x12. Her poetry has been published in Imperfect II: Poems About Perspective, an Anthology for Middle Schoolers and in the Autumnatopoeia issue of Little Thoughts Press. She has been a finalist in several writing contests, including #SpringFlingKidLit, #PitchMe, #JanKidLitVibes, and #PBParty. She has received honorable mentions in #KidsChoiceKidLit, #PBParty, and Susanna Leonard Hill’s holiday villain contest.
Abby is equal parts Monica Geller, Sue Heck, and Leslie Knope. She currently clings to the hope found in Romans 12:21: Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. And she constantly challenges herself to remember the verse that inspired her to start sharing her writing in the first place, Ecclesiastes 11:4: Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.
Though Abby is not extremely active on social media these days, she can occasionally be found perusing BlueSky or Instragram @ANWBooks.
