Spill Your Guts
Abby N. Wooldridge
Dance in the raindrops that drip from the trees.
Swim in the puddles of moonlight and leaves.
Breathe in the stardust that drifts through the breeze.
Drink in the magic, and fall to your knees.
Whisper the wishes that will not depart.
Dare to share dreams that you’ve locked in your heart.
Wander these woods where your cup overflows.
Secrets slip out, and their seeds start to grow.
Marvel the wonders as treasures unfold.
Gather the riches of stories untold.
Peer through this patch where the pages are made,
and unspoken words are written with blades.
Come carve your pumpkins, and come spill your guts.
Trick us and treat us with all of those cuts.
Scoop out your soul to pour into the night.
In this great darkness, your stories are light.
